Sales Account Executive (SAE)

Quick Snapshot

  • OTE: ~$90,000 (uncapped)
  • Base: $45,000–$60,000 (DOE) + uncapped commission
  • Location: Mexico, MO (Hybrid)
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
  • Travel: Occasional conferences / client meetings (some overnight)

Why This Role Exists

We’re growing. Our customers are actively shifting from paper-based workflows to secure digital processes, and we need a driven account executive who can create opportunities, build relationships, and close business.

This is not “order taking.” You’ll be expected to hunt, build pipeline, and win new clients, while also re-engaging former accounts that are a fit for our current solutions.


What You’ll Sell

You’ll represent a portfolio of proven document and workflow solutions, including:

  • Document scanning and digitization services
  • Document management software
  • Business process outsourcing and workflow automation
  • Accessibility of Demand™ PDF Remediation Services
  • Secure digital solutions that reduce risk and increase control

You won’t be alone—our team supports delivery so you can focus on selling the right solution and building long-term customer value.


Compensation (OTE ~$90,000 | Uncapped)

  • Base salary: $45,000–$60,000 (DOE)
  • Commission: Uncapped

What “OTE” Means Here

OTE is what a solid performer earns at goal. Strong performers can exceed it because commission is uncapped.


What Success Looks Like

Within 12 months, a successful SAE will:

  • Generate $250,000+ in total revenue
  • Generate $175,000+ in new business revenue
  • Onboard 10+ new clients annually
  • Maintain 90% client retention after the initial contract

Key Responsibilities

Pipeline & Prospecting

  • Generate new opportunities through outreach, networking, referrals, and strategic follow-up on warm leads
  • Build relationships through community involvement and creative pipeline-building strategies
  • Attend relevant conferences/events and represent IMS professionally (occasional overnight travel)

Consultative Selling

  • Learn the customer’s current process and pain points (paper load, compliance, access, turnaround time, risk)
  • Translate that into a clear recommendation and business value for moving to digital workflows
  • Communicate solutions clearly. No jargon and no fluff, just outcomes

Sales Execution & Accountability

  • Maintain clean, accurate CRM activity and pipeline updates
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to set targets and drive performance
  • Own your book of opportunities from first contact through close and handoff

30 / 60 / 90-Day Expectations

First 30 Days

  • Understand our solutions, pricing, common use cases, and how projects are delivered
  • Learn the CRM process and build your operating rhythm
  • Start outreach and build a starter pipeline

First 60 Days

  • Run discovery calls independently
  • Create consistent meetings each week
  • Begin quoting/proposals and move deals through stages

First 90 Days

  • Predictable weekly activity + a healthy pipeline
  • Closing early wins and building momentum
  • Clear path to hitting the annual revenue targets

Qualifications

  • Proven sales experience (technology or document/workflow solutions preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized and able to manage multiple opportunities at once
  • Comfortable working from a hybrid setup with high personal accountability
  • Confident using a CRM to track activity, pipeline, and next steps
  • Ability to travel occasionally for conferences or client meetings

Preferred Experience

  • 2+ years in B2B sales (preferred)
  • Familiarity with document management, digitization, or digital transformation
  • Comfort selling consultatively (discover → diagnose → propose → close)
  • Understanding how organizations move from paper to secure digital workflows
